We will announce the net proceeds of this exciting two-day golf event soon, but until then, a huge thank you to all participants -- golfers and non-golfers alike -- and especially those who collected pledges. John Larche, a life long resident of Timmins has worked tirelessly to advance the mineral exploration and development industry in Ontario and Canada. A former director and president of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada, he is Honorary Chairman of the Discover Abitibi Project – a major initiative to support and revitalize the mining industry. A legendary prospector and one of the founders of Hemlo Gold Camp in northern Ontario, he has shared his success with the community through his generous benefactions to the Timmins and District Hospital. In 2002, Mr. John P. Larche was inducted as a member of the Order of Canada. Through his vision and focus, Mr. Larche has provided financial support reaching millions of dollars to the DI/Cardio Department at the Timmins and District Hospital. His generosity, time and commitment to the Hospital has touched the lives of patients through out the community and surrounding district.
